This installation combined a 9.69kW solar PV system with a Tesla Powerwall 3, providing both high-capacity generation and advanced battery storage. The system was designed to maximise on-site energy use, cut electricity bills, and increase energy independence for the homeowner.
The solar array features 19 × 510W AIKO Neostar 2S panels mounted on a Renusol roof mounting system. The Tesla Powerwall 3 (13.5kWh usable capacity) integrates seamlessly with its built-in 11.04kW inverter, supported by a FoxESS S2500 inverter. Additional measures included a bird exclusion kit to protect the panels and an OFGEM-approved generation meter for compliance and monitoring.
Based on Appendix M of the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) for buildings, the 8.16kWp array is projected to generate approximately 7,270 kWh annually, significantly reducing grid reliance and providing a clean, renewable energy source.
