This cutting-edge system was installed at a residential property in Newcastle and includes an 8.16kW solar PV array featuring AIKO Neostar 510W all-black monocrystalline panels. Powering the setup is a Tesla Powerwall 3, offering a built-in inverter rated at 11.04kW and an impressive 13.5kWh battery capacity.
The client chose this configuration to reduce their long-term reliance on the national grid and future-proof their home energy setup. Due to the system's capacity, a formal DNO application was required and granted before installation. This request was based on the client's MPAN (Meter Point Administration Number).
With a generation capacity of approximately 5,870kWh per year, the system dramatically reduces electricity bills while offering resilience during outages via Tesla’s backup power capabilities.
