10.92kW Solar PV System with 13.93kWh Battery Storage

Alnwick Community Centre has taken a proactive step towards energy efficiency and sustainability by installing a solar PV system coupled with battery storage. This 10.92kW system, featuring 24 AIKO Neostar A2S 455W panels and a 13.93kWh Fox ESS ECS4800-H3 battery setup, is designed to reduce energy bills while helping to lower the building’s carbon footprint.

The initiative aligns with successful models already implemented across Northumberland, showcasing how community buildings can combine renewable energy measures with energy efficiency improvements. Sustainable Energy Engineering was approached by the centre to supply and fit the complete system, ensuring compatibility and durability in a competitive market.

This solar and battery system aims to cut the centre’s reliance on grid electricity, offering resilience against energy price fluctuations and supporting local sustainability goals.
