In Newcastle, our team designed and installed an advanced 8.16kW solar PV system paired with a Tesla Powerwall 3 battery storage unit. Featuring Tesla’s latest technology with an integrated 11.04kW inverter and 13.5kWh usable capacity, the system allows the homeowner to maximise renewable energy use, reduce electricity bills, and dramatically increase grid independence.
The installation included AIKO Neostar 510W all-black monocrystalline panels mounted on a Renusol roof mounting system, paired with a Tesla Powerwall 3, AC isolators, an OFGEM-approved Emlite generation meter, and a bird exclusion kit to protect the array. Due to system size, a DNO approval was obtained before work commenced. The client’s goal was to future-proof their home with reliable, high-capacity renewable energy generation and storage.
Based on Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) calculations, this system is expected to produce approximately 5,870 kWh per year. With the Tesla Powerwall, self-sufficiency increases from around 39% (solar only) to 73%, ensuring significant long-term savings and energy resilience.
