This residential installation in South Shields for Mr Jackson included a high-performance 6.16kW solar PV system paired with 10.36kWh of FoxESS battery storage. The system uses 14 AIKO 440W panels and can generate an estimated 4,410kWh annually. The solar array was split across two sides of the roof to optimise generation.
As with all our installations, we handled the entire documentation process, including DNO registration and G99 application, required due to the inverter being over 3.7kW. We also included a changeover switch, allowing Mr Jackson to power his home from the battery in the event of a grid failure.
Estimated savings were calculated using MCS data through our in-house professional software (Pylon). Based on those figures, the system is projected to reduce annual electricity bills by £910.38 - a 62% cost reduction.
