6.09kW Solar Electric System with 8.6kWh Battery Storage

This residential installation in Ryhope involved a 6.09kW solar PV system with an 8.6kWh battery and Fox ESS 3.7kW hybrid inverter. The client received a full quotation after an on-site survey, and the route from the panels to the inverter was carefully planned to follow the loft joists, down to the rear of the garage where the utility room housed the inverter and battery for easy access.

To comply with regulations, a 4-way distribution board was added. Bird mesh was also installed to prevent nesting under the panels - a standard step in all our installations to avoid future maintenance issues.

Using twelve 435W Jinko monocrystalline solar panels, this system will generate an estimated 4,439kWh annually. Assuming 50% of the electricity is consumed on-site, the estimated annual return is approximately £910. Even greater savings can be achieved by charging the batteries during off-peak hours at lower tariffs.
