8kW Risen Solar PV System, Connected to an 8kW Fox ESS 3-Phase Inverter which feeds 12.3kWh of Fox ESS Cube Lithium Batteries.

A representative from Dipton Community Centre contacted our company in late 2022, wanting a quotation for a system that could give the centre power during a blackout. The system also had a significant roof space, and the client suggested 8kWp of solar to connect to the battery storage system.

We agreed on an 8kW Risen Solar PV system, connected to an 8kW Fox ESS 3 phase inverter, which feeds 12.3kWh of Fox ESS Cube lithium batteries. We also installed a 3-phase changeover switch (manual), which enables the system to function in island mode and provide power to the property during a power cut. This was key for the Community Centre as they wanted the centre to function as a "Hub" in the event of a bad storm, which could result in power loss.

The system installed also can have further batteries added, should the centre feel the need for that. We also installed a Solar iBoost energy diverter with PV and batteries, which can provide the property with free hot water from excess solar. This is something a lot of customers are looking at as we try to move away from gas.
