In 2021, we designed, supplied and commissioned a large-scale renewable energy system for Darlington College, showcasing our expertise in delivering advanced commercial solar and storage projects for the education sector.
The project included two PV arrays: a 50.56kW system using 128 × 395W Sharp panels and a 103.49kW system using 262 × 395W Sharp panels. To complement the generation capacity, 50.4kWh of storage was installed using SolaX Triple Power 6.3kWh batteries, housed within a bespoke container for safe, long-term performance.
This installation significantly reduces the college’s energy bills and carbon footprint, while also serving as a real-world educational tool for students learning about sustainability and renewable technologies.
