In 2012, we supplied and installed a 10kW solar PV system at Dame Dorothy School, designed to provide long-term financial savings and environmental benefits. This project highlighted our early expertise in delivering reliable, high-quality renewable energy systems for the education sector.
The system comprised 40 × 250W BLD monocrystalline solar PV panels, known for their 15.2% efficiency, robust build quality, and industry-leading warranties. Supported by an A-frame mounting kit, a Power One G83 grid-tie inverter, and OFGEM-approved generation metering, the installation ensured high performance and compliance with MCS standards.
Based on Appendix M of the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) for buildings, the system was projected to generate 7,976 kWh annually. At the time of installation, this output translated into savings and payments of approximately £2,358.60 per year, tax-free and index-linked for 25 years, providing an estimated total payback of £58,965.07.
