In January 2022, our team supplied and installed a large-scale 64.75kW solar PV system at Cragside School in Newcastle. This project demonstrates our expertise in delivering high-capacity, commercial-grade renewable energy solutions tailored to the requirements of education facilities.
The system includes 185 × 350W Monocrystalline Longi Solar™ panels, combined with a SolarEdge 55kW 3-Phase inverter and multiple SolarEdge optimisers for maximum safety, monitoring, and performance. A Renusol roof mounting kit, AC/DC isolators, and a dedicated display/monitor were also installed in the school reception to provide real-time visibility of system output.
Using Appendix M of the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) for buildings, we calculated the system’s expected annual energy performance at approximately 58,534 kWh. This significant output supports the school’s drive to reduce running costs and lower its carbon footprint.
