About

Sustainable Energy Engineering is a family run company, set up in the summer of 2006 by husband and wife team, Stephen and Haley Fairless. The renewable industry was still in its infancy back then and was a difficult field to join. However, with hard work and determination, we have grown our client base and are now well established in the region, moving first to an office on the North East Business Innovation Centre, in Sunderland in 2009 and then again in January 2011 to our current, larger premises at Glover Business Park, Washington.

Stephen has gained a wealth of experience as a result of his long service within the electrical and renewable industry. Haley has a background in office management and customer service and re-trained as a Domestic Energy Assessor in 2007 and a Green Deal Advisor in 2012. All of our engineers are trade qualified and follow the JTL Apprenticeship scheme, which is the industries leading, national apprenticeship scheme.

Over the years our customers’ have come to associate Sustainable Energy Engineering as a reputable and trusted installer. We still hold the same values, of believing in and building a Sustainable environment for future generations. Our choice is to try and deliver this with good quality, value for money systems, at a fair price. We have never traded under another name, or dissolved the company to rebrand with a slightly different name.
